巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区表层沉积物地球化学元素组成及其指示意义

Geochemical elements composition of surface sediment and its implications around Badain Jaran Desert

摘要:

沉积物的地球化学元素特征记载了丰富的区域环境变化信息,对物质来源、沉积环境等有重要的指示意义。本文通过对巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区表层沉积物地球化学元素组成进行分析,揭示其沉积环境和化学风化程度特征。结果表明:巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区表层沉积物常量元素氧化物以SiO2为主,微量元素以Ba、Zr、Sr、Co为主;相较于上陆壳平均化学元素组成,研究区域SiO2和微量元素Co、As、Ce表现为富集,其他元素表现为局部富集或者不同程度全亏损;常量元素氧化物相关关系表明SiO2影响区域沉积物化学组成及性质;巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区的沉积物化学风化程度总体较低,处于大陆风化的初期阶段;不同化学风化指数的影响因素不同,CIA指数表明区域间化学风化程度存在显著差异;巴丹吉林沙漠周边地区物源具有相近性,但是在长期风化过程中也受周边地貌和局地气候变化的影响。

Abstract:

The geochemical element characteristics of the sediments record rich regional environmental changes, which have important significance for material sources and sedimentary environment. In this paper, the geochemical element composition of surface sediments in the surrounding area of Badain Jaran Desert were analyzed to reveal the characteristics of sedimentary environment and chemical weathering degree. The results showed that SiO2 was the main major element, and Ba, Zr, Sr and Co were the main trace elements in the surface sediments of the Badain Jaran Desert. Compared with the average chemical element composition of the upper continental crust, the major elements SiO2 and trace elements Co, As and Ce in the study area were enriched, while other elements were locally enriched or completely depleted to varying degrees. The correlation of major element oxides showed that SiO2 affected the chemical composition and properties of sediments. The degree of chemical weathering of sediments in the surrounding areas of Badain Jaran Desert was generally low, and it was in the early stage of continental weathering. The influence factors of different chemical weathering indexes were different. The CIA index showed that there were significant differences in the degree of chemical weathering among regions. The provenance of the surrounding area of Badain Jaran Desert was similar, but it was also affected by the surrounding landform and local climate change during the long-term weathering process.
