Abstract: The characteristics of aeolian landform in eastern Kulun Mountain is explained in the study. As well known, Atacama Desert in Chile distributes at highest elevation in the world at present. On the basis of field investigation, however, the height of both sand dune and desert appears in eastern Kulun Mountain are over 4,000 metres above sea level. Particularly, it is interesting and first time in China to report the appearance of dunes in the end part of glacier. It is found from the study that desert can be formed itself under dry and cold climate conditions and it is described in the paper that the climate in eastern Kulun Mountain is being become bad to worse, namely from wet to dry recently.
