Abstract: The writer analyses the present Status and potentials of desertification on Heilongjiang Territory of the Songhua Jiang-Nen Jiang Plain and points out that there exists sparse sandy lands and vegetated dunes on the Songhua Jiang-Nen Jiang Plain and meanwhile the Plain is influenced and threatened by the Hulun Buir Sandy Land and Horqin Sandy Land. In consideration of the dangers of existence of desertification on the Plain strategies against the problem are presented.
