Abstract: Seventy-one grape varieties were introduced from four different fruit zones into the Naiman dis trict during 1985-89 period. The five years of research and extension work showed. that the grapes cultivated there are characterized by broad adaptibility, vital hardiness, rapid growth and high yield. The average annual yield of grape (4-year-old plants) fruit amounted to 21.9 ton/ha with a maximum 33.1 ton/ha. In this paper grape culture techniques and measures of field management of different periods, including growth, sap flowing, budding off and new growth, flowering and pollinating, berry inflating, berry ripening, and defoliating, were put forward.
