Seeding Experiment of Endangered Species Ammopiptanthus mongolicus Maxim in Field

Abstract  Ammopiptanthus mongolicus(Maxim) has been studied on its seeding methods and techniques in the field of arid sandy areas. The results show the suitable sowing date of A. mongolicus is between the end of April and the early May, sowing depth is 1.5 cm, sowing amount is 330 kg·hm-2 and the adaptive fertilization amount matched with 8 irrigation times per year is 22 500 kg·hm-2. The different sowing date as well as covering seedling bed with plastic film affects germination ratio and seedling quality, and the effect of covering plastic film is more obvious than that of covering soil. The fresh biomass of individual, which is 3 times of its comparative sample, was 8.249 g in its first year. Only irrigation is without obvious effects to the seedling quality of A. mongolicus. The rational irrigation matched with fertilization configuration is only the best way for improving seedling quality effectively.
