Abstract: The techniques of sustainable development of sand land agriculture in Yajin County were studied through carrying out the project in the ninth five-year plan on agricultural development.The wind sand hazards were controlled by comprehensive shelter system,which was established according to the techniques for environmental improvement in sandy lands.The development of high yield,good quality and benefits for suitable fruit trees was accomplished by using package techniques.The developmental models and the techniques of grazing and raising management for herbivorous livestock,the management models of intensive agriculture were explored,which have been promoting the economical development of the north part of Henan Province.The structures,functions and effects of agricultural knowledge system were studied theoretically and practically.The result showed that the Yanjin experimental station played a key role in accelerating farmers for richness by using scientific techniques.
