Evaluation of Urban Synthetic Carrying Capacity of the Tianshan North-slope Urban Agglomeration

Abstract

Tianshan North-slope Urban Agglomeration are the important carrier and node that Xinjiang build the core area of Silk Road Economic Belt. Take 12 cities as the research object which is the Tianshan North-Slope Economic Belt covers and regulated in Xinjiang. Establish synthetic evaluation index system from six dimensions: population, ecological environment, resources, economic, public service, traffic. The comprehensive carrying capacity is evaluated and analyzed by improved entropy method, variation coefficient method, etc. The results show that the synthetic carrying capacity of Tianshan North-slope Urban Agglomeration is obviously different; resource and economy are the main reasons of the gap between each city's synthetic carrying capacity; ecological environment and resources have become the main restricting factors and both of them are overweighed; the coupling degree of ecology-production-life has been improved, but it is still poor.
