Abstract: In the study, the relationship between time-spatial distribution of precipitation and desertification, and obvious impacts of irrational development and utilization of resources on desertification processes are described. It is referred that the human activities brought as much serious impacts as that the physical conditions did on a certain scale. The relationship between drainage lines, lakes, watershed, and drinking wells on rangelands and desertification is discussed by the interpretation of aerial photos. The favourable condition and restrict factor to reclai m and utilize desert land area in the League are delineated.
