中国榆林地区现代沙漠化的卫星监测

摘要: 根据资源卫星影象分析系统,采用陆地卫星Ⅰ和Ⅱ的多光谱资料,同非监督方法绘制中国毛乌素沙漠南缘的土地类型图。尽管缺少地面真实情报,但还是可以把植被区与沙区区别出来。我们把卫星资料与1945年航空相片和1953年出版的沙区分布图进行比较,1953-1978年期间毛乌素榆林地区的沙漠扩展了,而在榆林南部局部地方植被有所增加。

Abstract: An unsupervised approach based on the Applied Resource Image Exploitation System (ARIES) was applied to land type mapping in the southern fringes of the Mu Us Desert in China, using multispectral data from LA NDSAT Ⅰ and LANDSAT Ⅱ. Despite the lack of ground truth information, sand dunes were consistently discriminated from vegetation areas. The satellite data were compared to information derived from 1945 air-photos and published sand distribution maps of 1953. It was established that desert expansion occured in part of the study region during 1953-1978. Some local increases in vegetation cover were observed in southern Yulin.
