Moisture Condition in Different Dunes in Southern Horqin Steppe

摘要: 沙丘在不受地下水影响的情况下.沙层水分的补给取决于降水;降水对沙层湿润的深度与一次性降水的多少成比例关系.在流动沙丘发展成为固定沙丘的过程中,由于植物的生长,水分条件逐渐变坏。160厘米厚沙层4-7月的月平均有效水分,流动沙丘为102.46毫米,半固定沙丘为51.79毫米,固定沙丘为41.09毫米.沙丘固定后地表形成结皮,在降雨强度大的情况下,固定沙丘地表形成径流,汇集于丘间,使丘间含水量高于固定沙丘。依固定沙丘和丘间在水分条件上的差异,地貌条件上的不同,在利用沙地时充分利用固定冷丘丘间的有利方面,适当开垦是可行的.

Abstract: It is identified in the study that the misuse of fixed-dunes in desert steppe is the key factor to cause land desertification, on the basis of the analysis and measurement of dune moisture of different condition. By observing dune moisture, some evidences for making good use of sandy lands and for accelerating the dune stablization are presented and discussed in the paper.. 1) The replenishment of the moisture in sand dunes depends upon the precipitation in the case that dunes are independent of underground water. The depth of rain-wetted sand is related in proportion to the amount of each rainfalll. 2) The moisture condition of sand dune will be gradually worsened when shifting sands have been stablizid by vegetations. The available moistures from April to July in shifting sand dunes, semi-fixed and fixed dunes average 102.46mm, 51.79mm and 41.09mm respectively. 3)After the sand dunes have been fixed a thin crust will be formed on the dune surface. The runoff occurs in the fixed -dune areas and drains into the interdu'ne areas under the case of high intensive rainfall, and so that the moisture content in the interdune areas is higher than that of the fixed sand dunes. 4) It is feasible to reclaim the interdune areas in a proper manner on the basis of consideration of local moisture regime and topographic condition.
