Abstract: The relation between amount of blownsand and wind Velocity were studied by 7means of self-developed sand-taped instrument in three years started from 1985 at Turpan-Yurgou section of Lanzhou-Xinjiang railway. From observation results the author developed an experiential formula, q=1.92e^0.31(V-u); It has been proved that the amounts of blown-sand calculated from the formula were rater consistent with the observation data of nearby meteorological stations.
