Abstract: The sand-blowing wind is one of the major elements to cause desertification. The local environmental impacts on formation of sandblowing wind in desert regions in China are presented, the distributive characteristics of sand-blowing wind and its formation laws are analyzed, the leading role of sandblowing wind on desertification processes as well as the relationship between the sand-blowing wind and other climatic elements are delied in the study.
