Abstract: Based on analysing the characteristics of the disaster engendering conditions in the monsoon marginal zone in North China, several features about the disaster forming process in this area are presented as follows:the hazard producing process is various, frequently happening and with obvious regional differentiation. The hazard bearing environment in this area can intensify the influence of the hazards greatly, which is the main feature of the hazard bearing process here. The other important feature of the disaster forming process in this region comparing to the other ones in China is that it is easier to produce loss for the same kind hazards which have equal magnitude.
