风成沉积石英绿光释光测年的单片技术

Luminescence Dating of Aeolian Sediments Using Single Aliquot Technique

摘要: 运用再生法进行单片技术测年所面临的主要问题是感量变化。论文探讨了石英绿光释光测年中对感量变化进行校正的方法,然后运用单片技术对沙漠黄土边界带风成沉积沙样进行等效剂量测定。结果表明,单片技术是石英绿光释光测年的理想手段。

Abstract: There are many advantages of single aliquot technique over conventional multiple aliquot technique: ① Precision. Since all the measurements for the ED (Equivalent Dose) are made on one aliquot, there is no need for normalization. ② Multiple determination of ED (age) for a sample. This enables the dating of heterogeneously bleached sediment——fluvial or glacial sediments, by distinguishing the fully bleached grains. ③ Less efforts. Small number of discs required, and all the measurements can be done automatically within the RISOE machine. ④ Small sample required. Standard luminescence technique requires at least 30, even 60, discs to obtain one ED. ⑤ Can allow for the supralinearity of dose response in the low dose range. The most recent development in single aliquot technique is the single aliquot regenerative dose (SAR) protocol. The sensitivity change in the repeated luminescence measurements is the crucial problem for this protocol. In this paper, we examined the possibility for the sensitivity change correction on aeolian sediment quartz in SAR of GLSL (Green Light Stimulated Luminescence) dating. The sensitivity can be allowed for after the correction using the GLSL signal of test dose immediately after the GLSL measurement. GLSL dating results using SAR of six aeolian sediment samples from loess/desert transitional zone in China showed concordance with the ages of conventional multiple aliquot additive technique. The preheat is at 220℃ for 10 s for SAR. The EDs showed a good plateau from 180℃ to 280℃ for 10 s preheat. This plateau indicated that the thermal transferred signal due to the preheat was negligible in the sample.
