Abstract: Ordos is one of the most serious desertification regions in China. The reasons of land desertification in this region are mainly the over reclamation, over grazing and abusively herb digging in addition to dry climate. The sand controlling countermeasures are principally prevention, prevention management being conducted together, and prevention management development being combined. In details, land man relation should be intensively re adjusted to resolve the three Nong (agriculture, country and peasant or husbandry, pasture and herdsman) question, to harmonize the three Mu (forbid pasturing, fallow pasturing and rotation pasturing) correlation, and to accomplish the three Ding (grazing based on grass resource, planting on water resource and controlling population on natural environmental capacity) goal.
