A Review on Effect of Dust Pollution on Human Health and Its Mechanism

China is one of the countries under the most serious desertification in the world. Dust pollution has a strong impact on health of people who live in the desertification region especially in Northwest China. We summarized and analyzed the literatures about effect of dust pollution on human health and its mechanism. The review suggests that dust pollution damages human health especially aggravates vasculature and respiratory system diseases.It is necessary to establish an evaluation system to monitor the extent of dust pollution compromising the human health, and to find the strategy to prevent the harmful effect.
