Abstract:

In the context of China’s innovation-driven development strategy and the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, promoting technological innovation and industrial structure optimization is of great significance to the sustainable development of the Yellow River Basin in Gansu Province. We selected 9 prefecture-level units in the Yellow River Basin of Gansu Province as the research objects, first establish evaluation index system of technological innovation and industrial development and measure the evaluation index values of the two systems. Then we used the coupling degree and coordination degree models to identify the coordinated development mode of regional technological innovation and industry development from 2009 to 2019. The results show that the level of technological innovation and industrial development in the Yellow River Basin of Gansu Province continued to increase in general from 2009 to 2019, and the degree of coupling between the two systems was also rising, showing a strong correlation; However, the coordination degree between the two systems was generally low, and dissonance and primary coordination were the main types, and the two systems had not yet formed a good coordination relationship; The coordinated development model of the region can be divided into three types: harmony zone, running-in zone and antagonistic zone; At present, only Lanzhou and Wuwei basically achieve good balance between technological innovation and industrial development, while the development of technological innovation in the remaining seven prefecture-level units are obviously lagging behind, and balance between the two systems has not yet formed.
