Abstract: The harm brought by sand-laden wind can be prevented and economy can be raised through planting fruit trees in aeolian region in north Henan Province,while selection and regeneration of cultivars are the key to increase the yield and quality of fruit.Based on situation of national fruit production,tendency of cultivar development,natural features of sandy soil in north Henan,cultivar introduction and cultivation experiments have been conducted in recent years,more than 30 cultivars suitable for the region are recommended and should be developed in priority.Also the brief evaluation of economical characteristics are given for the main cultivars in order to advance sandy soil fruit production in the region to an even newer stage for high yield and quality fruits.
