Numerical Simulation on Effect of Environmental Degeneration in Qilian Mountains |

Abstract Using the mesoscale atmospheric model MM5V3.6, we designed a control test and a sensitive test to simulate the effect of environmental degeneration in Qilian Mountains. The MM5V3.6 model can well simulate the precipitation of the study region. The environmental degeneration in Qilian Mountains would make the precipitation of the region and even of the far range decrease. Showed by test on vegetation degeneration the average precipitation would decrease by 2% for the local region. Meantime, the sensitive heat flux increases, the latent heat flux decreases, but the absolute value of latent heat flux is bigger than the absolute of sensitive heat flux, so the resultant heat flux increases. Consequently, the air temperature, the ground temperature, and the soil temperature all rise.
