Changes of Landscape Pattern in Forest Ecosystem in Sunan Mountainous Region at Upper Heihe Stem River

Abstract  Forest ecosystem is a base for exist and development of Sunan mountainous region of Gansu at the upper Heihe River in arid northwest China. Taking the three districts in this region, Dahe district, Kangle district and Mati district, as study object, and using the GIS method we analyzed the succession and environmental effect of their forest ecosystems. The forest landscape in Sunan mountainous region tends toward fragmentation and the aged; the forest ecosystem tends toward serious degradation, reverse performance and serve function reducing; the landscape stability of forest ecosystem is turning to be worse, and to be complex, heterogeneous and un-continuous mosaic from single, homogeneous and continuous. The interference of the human activity under the nature background may have resulted in these changes.
