Abstract: Wind-sand flow at Fushaliang section of Qinghai-xizang railway was studied. The results are as follows:(1) The dominant wind directions are WNW,W,NW and NE in decreasing order, and sand-moving wind of 8~15 m/s prevails from March to Auguest.(2) The compositional wind direction is WNW,and its transportability of sediment is 9.970 m3·a-1·m-1.(3) The transportabilities of sediment reach the maximum values of 2.556 and 2.538 m3·a1·m-1 when the local wind are at 12 and 13 m/s respectively.(4) The longitudinal sand ridge has been moving at the average speed of 2~5 m/a and the ridge line deviates to south at 0.2~0.5 m/a.(5) Engeering measures combining preventing and fixing sand is the effective method, proved by experiment.
