Abstract: Production of the forage grass and feed with high quality and yield is one of the key links for effective development of the herbivorous livestock in sandy lands of the north part of Henan Province.According to features of the herbivorous livestock and condition of the resources in this region,the forage grass and feed should affect the development scale and the effect of husbandry and its position at the agricultural economy in this region.The model of production and effective use of the forage grass and feed with high yield and quality was discussed in the paper,which should lay a foundation for favorable development of the herbivorous livestock in this region.
