Abstract: The eolian deposits sequence on the warm temperate coast is a kind of silty or sandy sediment with the color of yellow-brown, and is mainly distributed discretely along the Bohai Sea-North Yellow Sea coast of China. In this paper, the spatial distribution, forms, sedimentary characteristics, formation mechanism, geological age, and paleoenvironment of eolian deposits sequence are overviewed. Eolian deposits sequence is derivative sediment of shelf desertification. Its main source is the near source material transported by the winter wind, and it originated in the Middle-late Pleistocene. The coastal eolian deposits sequence powerfully proves the theory of shelf desertification, and records the climate change in the mid-latitude coastal areas of China since the Middle Pleistocene in detail. The climate is gradually dry and cold, and the weathering from north to south is gradually enhanced. Based on the present situation of the research, there are still some issues need to be deeply discussed.
