The experiment used soil to cultivate the plant materials, and then set up 5 different phosphorus levels(P0,0 mg·kg-1;P1,17.5 mg·kg-1;P2,35 mg·kg-1;P3,52.5 mg·kg-1;P4,70 mg·kg-1). Under the different phosphorus levels, we measured Caryopteris mongholica growth morphological parameters, root morphological parameters, biomass and the APase activity. The results indicated that: the plant height, basal diameter, stem width, ground diameter, root length, root volume and root diameter increased at first and then decreased with the P level grown. And all the morphological parameters were biggest under the P1 level. The root shoot ratio, shoot and root dry weight under the P0 level were the biggest in all P levels. The APase activity decreased with the P level grown. There was a negative correlation between the root APase activity and root volume, total average root length, root diameter, root surface area. There was also a negative correlation between the leaf APase activity and plant height, basal diameter, stem width, ground diameter, shoot biomass.
