Abstract: The Ebinur Lake,whose terrain is low-lying,is the largest salt water lake in Xinjiang.The features of the desrt region are various.lt belongs to a drought desert region,in all parts of which exist varieties of rare wild animals and plants and they are well protected,it is extremely typical and special in the natural ecological systems of China's inland deserts.And just because its location is on the famous pass of the Alashan mountain where it often blows heavily all year round,the ecological environment around are rather fragile;various wind-sand disasters caused by the shrinkage of the lake are speeding up the desert expansion,which is threatening social and econcomic sustainable development of North Xinjiang's economic belt.So,it is extremely crucial to make a plan,as soon as possible,for setting up the ecological reserve,strengthening the construction of ecology,and protecting the species of living things.
