Multi-sources of Sand Minerals for the Deserts in the Jungger Basin

摘要: 对准噶尔盆地87件沙漠沙矿物分析结果进行了研究。通过对比各样区沙丘沙和丘间地下伏沙重矿物组合特征、矿物成分离散度和轻矿物组合中石英/长石比值,查明沙漠沙物源多样性主要表现是:各小区沙物质矿物组合特征因地而异;沙丘沙虽主要由下伏沙经风力改造而成,但二者的上述各参数存在着一定差异,风力"搀杂"的结果使前者比后者具有更广泛的物源。

Abstract: The paper discusses the analyzing results of mineral compositions of 87 sand samples from 9 des- erts in the Jungger Basin. By comparing the assemblage feature of heavy minerals, the standard deviation of mineral composition and the ratio between quartz and feldspar of light minerals for dune-sands with that of underlying-sands, it is revealed that because of different geographic locations of these deserts, their mineral compositions are remarkable distinct. The multiplicity of mineral composition results from the multi-sources of sand materials. The similarity of mineral composition for different types of sand materials in the same desert is larger than the differential of that, sand accumulated by wind on the spot is the main cause of forming sand dune in the process of underlying-sand evolving into dune-sand. However, there is remakable action by wind mixing so that the later (dune sand) has much wider material sources. It should be directed out that stable heavy mineral assemblage is a better indicator to understand composition feature of material source, and unstable heavy mineral assemblage is a comprehensive parameter of knowing source and environmental characteristics.
