Construction and Development of the Desert Long-term Ecosystem Monitoring Data and Information Management System for the Shapotou Station

Abstract  The accumulation, management and sharing of scientific data is one of the routine work for research and environmental monitoring in the Shapotou Desert Research and Experiment Station. The "desert long-term ecological and environmental monitoring data and information management system for the Shapotou Station", which was established and improved gradually based on the "Database Management System of Dynamic Monitoring for the Shapotou Station", has been optimized in the system structure, the backstage management, data sharing service mode as well as its web page interactivity with users. It benefits the users to understand the management and integration of the monitoring data conveniently and intuitively, and hence the users can share the data resources effectively. The information system will perform as a permanent exchange platform of the long-term, and comprehensive environmental data and information for the purpose of ecological environment protection and the sustainable usage of the nature resources.
