Under the background of global climate change, the deserticulture is ushering in a new opportunity. This paper, combing methods of mathematical statistics and SWOT analysis, comprehensively analyzes the climate change, ecological environment change and both internal and external advantages and disadvantages of deserticulture in the Mu Us Sandy Land. The results showed that:(1) Under the background of global warming, the precipitation of the Mu Us Sandy Land has increased while the wind speed has gradually decreased. The vegetation coverage rate is rising, and the climatic and ecological conditions are gradually improving. (2) The Mu Us Sandy Land has advantages in resources of land, water, thermal, tourism and policy. Therefore, the natural environment improving gradually in the Mu Us Sandy Land and superior resources can provide the impetus and guarantee for the development of deserticulture in the Mu Us Sandy Land.
