Abstract: In order to analyze the photosynthetic characteristics of dominant species in different alpine plant communities and explore the main environmental factors which affect the photosynthesis, three communities, swamp, wet meadow and dry meadow, were selected at the same latitude and altitude in the Zoige Plateau, and photosynthetic diurnal changes of their dominant species, Carex muliensis, Kobresia setchwanensis and Elymus nutans were compared. The results showed that:were the main environmental affecting factors of Pn. The Pn of dominant species in dry meadow was mainly affected by Ta and PAR. The leading factor which affect Pn in wet meadow was PAR.

Key words: Zoige Plateau, net photosynthetic rate, environment factor, path analysis
