Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of seed surface disinfection on the rhizosphere soil microbial community structure of Lanzhou lily (Lilium davidii var. unicolor), and to search for key bacteria and fungi that regulate plant growth. Next-generation sequencing technology (NGS) was used to analyse the changes of bacteria and fungi in plant rhizosphere soil after SD treatment (bulb seed soaking treatment). The findings shows that: the SD treatment has increased soil bacterial abundance index (Chao1) significantly, and has changed the microbial community structure as well. It is significant that the relative abundances (RA) of the genus Penicillium have increased, while the genera Microascus and Chaetomium RA have decreased significantly. It is significant that the phylum Proteobacteria and its subset genus Devosia and Mesorhizobium and Pseudarthrobacter have decreased, while the genera Flavobacterium and Jatrophihabitans have increased. In conclusion, seed soaking induce changes in the community structure of fungi and bacteria in rhizosphere soil of lily seedlings. The enrichment of the beneficial bacteria Penicillium and its species PenicilliumAurantiogriseum,Flavobacterium and Jatrophihabitans, as well as the reduction of the harmful bacteria Devosia improve soil health and enhance lily seedlings growth.
