Microclimate Analysis of Different Underlying Surfaces on Both Sides of Middle Taklimakan Desert Highway

Abstract: The Taklimakan Desert Highway longitudinally crosses the Tarim Basin that situates in the temperate continental climate zone.Sand encroaching disaster is severe along the desert highway.The defensive ability of different shelters was evaluated through microclimate analysis of various underlying surfaces on both sides of middle desert highway section.It was found that grit road has certain ephemeral effect of covering sand,but has no long-time effect.Straw checkerboard has better effect,but the ability against quicksand became weaker with time elapsing.As ecotype,forest shelter will act well more and more in the processes of growing.
