Analysis of Dust Weather over China and Korea Using EP/TOMS Aerosol Index

Abstract  Based on EP/TOMS aerosol index, satellite images and meteorological observational data, the dust weather of China and Korea were analyzed. The results show that EP/TOMS aerosol index can detect the occurrence, development, transfer and coverage of the dust storm successfully. It can be used with more accuracy in dust storm regions because it is almost not influenced by cloud.
