Testing Research on Application Technology of High Vertical Mobile Sand-barrier

Abstract  The high vertical mobile sand-barriers is made up from using the no.18 iron wire to weave branches (1~1.2 cm) into the sand-barriers which are 2 m long and l m wide and with 40~60 porosity; then using flat iron as their waist strips, and using moving tube clips to connect the upright column and the barriers; lastly setting up them on the moving dune top, intervals and windward slopes. Testing result shows that the traditional barriers might be eroded or covered up by sand because they aren't movable, therefore not only the protective effect is reduced but also the standing life is shortened. In comparison, the type of high vertical mobile sand-barrier can move vertically and horizontally, which can bring it into play according to the circumstance. It is of great value for generalization and application due to its conveniency in practicing. This paper has also presented the design principle and the method of its manufacture and installation.
