Abstract: The wind-sand soil in Yanjin county is old Yellow river's sediments experincing transportation by wind and development.So the formed soil types have the characteristics of coarse texture,poor organic matter,low capability of maintaining fertility and soil moisture,rich potassium and poor phosphorus.Therefore,in consideration of the amelioration and utilization of the sandy land,it is key to establish shelter belt,form fine earth horizon,ameliorate coarse texture,expand fertilizer source,plant green manure crop and increase soil fertility.
