Abstract: This paper provides some different opinions from those expressed by Mr Zhong Zhiwei in his paper:Hexi Corridor,Urbanization surcharging Oasis,which was published in Economic Observer on the 20^th October 2002.The paper regards that cities are always founded on oasis,urbanization is always progressed by city in the Hexi Corridor,Urbanization will not overcast oasis,furthermore it will make oasis more prosperous;Water is sure not the most bottle-neck of urbanization,urbanization will not lead to desert.Quickening the process of urbanization in the premise of protecting the eco-environment of oasis will be helpful to advance people s live level in the Hexi Corridor.Oasis is Supporting Urbanization.Oasis and urbanization are jointly progressing the development of Hexi Corridor to be the eco-economic corridor of China s Western Region.
