Abstract: In surveying to the agriculture and stockbreeding alternation, and oasis environment evolutional process of the Ejin region in historical period, an integrated research on river system change, oasis evolution, desertification process and the shift of human activity center has been conducted. Based on the research result the evolutional processes of man-land relationship can be divided into four periods in the whole time: the natural balance period before the Han Dynasty, its relationship between people and physical environment was harmonious; the unbalance period from Han to Yuan Dynasty, its antinomy between people and physical environment was intensified; the balance recovery period in Ming and Qing Dynasty, its antinomy between people and physical environment was alleviated; the environment worsen period in last century, its antinomy between people and physical environment was violent. Along with the science and technique level's development, and the human knowledge degree's deepen to the nature, the antinomy will be resolved, the relationship between people and physical environment will reach the harmony state finally.
