Abstract: This paper adopted the analytic statistic software to analyze the correlation between the economic development and environmental pollution phase based on data over past 17 years of Lanzhou city, and has made the Environmental Kuznets Curve of Lanzhou.Due to the unique valley-basin effect, industry structure of chemical and heavy industry, and its unreasonable industrial layout of Lanzhou, the Environmental Kuznets Curve of Lanzhou, compared with that in other areas, were found to be complicated and diversified and the curve's turning point appeared comparatively late.According to the analysis above, the paper also has put forward the interactive effect between the economic growth and the environmental pollution.It was concluded that the economic developmental stage, industry structure, industry layout and energy resource structure will impact on the amount and variety of the pollutant discharge, while the environmental pollution will affect the regional investment environment and the economic re-development level, and it will also promote the transformation of regional economic growth pattern and the development of environment-protected industry to some extent.Therefore, the findings have theoretical and instructive implications for maintaining a sustainable, coordinated and sound circulation between social, economy and ecological environment.
