Abstract: Soil wind erosion is one of the main processes of soil degradation in arid and semi-arid regions. Quantitative evaluation of soil wind erosion is an important measure to analyze soil degradation. The agro-pastoral ecotone of North China is a typical control area for soil wind erosion. In this paper, Zhang Chunlai wind erosion prediction empirical model is used to calculate the soil wind erosion modulus in the agro-pastoral ecotone of North China from 2000 to 2012, and the wind erosion modulus for every half a month were obtained. The results showed that soil wind erosion in the agro-pastoral ecotone of North China has improved overall. Wind erosion was the highest in sandy land, followed by farmland, and the lowest in grassland. Land use, wind speed and vegetation coverage had obvious influences on the magnitude of soil wind erosion.
