Abstract:

Base on the DPSIR model, a comprehensive evaluation index system for the green technology innovation capability of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yellow River was constructed. The spatiotemporal pattern evolution, influencing factors, and spatial correlation network characteristics of the green technology innovation capability of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yellow River from 2010 to 2020 were analyzed by means of entropy method, Theil index, spatial autocorrelation, gravity model, and geographic detector. The results showed that: (1)The green technology innovation capability of the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yellow River was increasing year by year, and the imbalance of green technology innovation capability among the four major urban agglomerations was gradually decreasing, while the imbalance of green technology innovation capability among cities was gradually increasing. (2)The spatial distribution of green technology innovation ability formed a multiple core-edge spatial pattern. The four major provincial capitals had obvious advantages in green technology innovation ability, while the eastern and western parts of the Loess Plateau, the western part of the Guanzhong Plain and the southeastern part of the Central Plains urban agglomeration had low green technology innovation ability. The global autocorrelation was characterized by strong randomness, while the local autocorrelation was characterized by high-low and low-high clustering in some cities, without forming obvious spatial clustering characteristics. (3)The spatial correlation network pattern of green technology innovation capability tended to be complex, forming a small triangle of strong spatial gravity of Zhengzhou-Xinxiang-Xi'an and a large triangle of Zhengzhou-Xi'an-Taiyuan. (4)Social and economic development, innovation resources, innovation environment and industrial structure were the main driving factors affecting the spatial differentiation of green technology innovation capability of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yellow River through interaction with other factors.

Key words: green technology innovation, spatiotemporal evolution, urban agglomeration, the middle reaches of the Yellow River
