| Field Experimental Study on Unsaturated Soil Hydraulic Conductivity in Oasis Cotton Field |

Abstract The unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity is one of the essential parameters to study soil water and salt movement. There are a variety of methods to determine it. Using "θ" method developed by P.L. Libardi et al., the unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity was obtained in oasis cotton field in AKS water balance experimental station of Xinjiang, and empirical formula of calculating unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity were established. The relationship between unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity and soil moisture content with "θ" method and capillary bundle model was further compared. Based on that, the error resources of "θ" method were analyzed. It is found that "θ" method is simple but effective for determining unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity.
