Abstract  Remarkable progress has been made in numerical simulation of aeolian ripple over the last more than twenty years. Difference between methods and results from many studies is evident. This paper reviews six studies of ripple simulation from aspects of models, boundary and initiate conditions, arithmetic design and results, and proposes research trends of ripple simulation.
