青藏高原沙尘天气的遥感研究

Dust Weather Analysis of Tibet Plateau by Using Remote Sensing

摘要: 由于分布在青藏高原上的气象观测站点稀少,难以对沙尘天气进行充分的地面观测。通过对近年来的5次沙尘天气进行遥感识别,分析了青藏高原沙尘天气过程、影响范围和沙尘来源。结果表明,青藏高原在冬春季存在明显沙尘天气,主要分布在藏北高原、藏南谷地和青海高原地区,这与高原大风对地面的风蚀有密切关系。卫星遥感作为一种重要的观测手段,提供了对高原沙尘天气的有效观测。

Abstract: Dust weather studies of Tibet plateau attract much attention in recent years due to its climatic significance and continuously loess-paleosol sequence. However, the lack of meteorological data in Tibet plateau, especially in northern Tibet plateau, limits the studies on dust weather. Based on dust detection of NOAA16-AVHRR data for two years, this paper found that there obviously happened dust weather for five times. Their sources, dust weather process, and dust area were analyzed. The result indicates that dust weather occurs in northern Tibet plateau, Qinghai plateau, and valleys of southern Tibet plateau under the force of wind blowing in winter and spring, which is consistent with other field investigations of wind erosion. In other words, wind erosion is serious in Tibet plateau. As an alternative method, remote sensing is an effective method of dust monitoring.
