Abstract  By using Geo-statistics and GIS, combining with indoor sampling point distribution and field monitoring of soil electric conductivity, we investigated the spatial variability characteristics of soil electric conductivity in Guohua demonstration area. Soil electric conductivity showed uneven arc-shaped and patchy spatial distribution, obvious spatial agglomeration, and many gradually gradient changing strips. The minimun spatial variable scale of soil electric conductivity under different layers was 750 m, which could serve as the best interval of soil electric conductivity for sampling point distribution in Guohua. Soil electric conductivities of Guohua Demonstration Zone in each soil depth were mainly influenced by vegetation coverage, geolotical background, rocky desertification, and so on. The paper is of great theory and reference significance to guide agricultural production and maintain sustainable use of soil resources for the protection areas in typical karst area.
