Abstract  Climatic warming affects carbon cyclying of the terrestrial ecosytem which could feedback to the climate change. Interaction between carbon cyclying and climate change determines the strength and direction of cliamte change in the future. Field warming manipulation experiments could be implemented to understand the terrestrial ecosystem responses and its mechanism to climate change. As a result, carbon cycling change becomes research focus in the filed manipulation experiments. Carbon cyle response to the warming manipulation is dependent on the location, type and microclimate of the ecosystem. Carbon sequestration and release could be increase, decrease or not change, which result in diverse response of net ecosystem productivity in warming experimetns. Net mineralization rate, phenology, community structure and composition change regulate and ecosytem carbon cycle change to warming. Permafrost response to climate change becoming research hot point due to its large carbon storge and its sensentivity to climate change.
