Abstract: This research analyzed the pH, electric conductivity and the concentrations of main anion and cation of precipitation samples collected from July 2013 to June 2014 in Wuwei. The results showed that: (1)The pH of the precipitation samples ranged from 6.69 to 8.84, and the average was 7.52. The range of electric conductivity was 33.9-766 μS·cm-1, and the average was 182.07 μS·cm-1. (2)The order of electric conductivity was winter >spring >summer >autumn, and the order of pH was spring>summer>autumn>winter. The pH and electric conductivity showed a significant negative correlation. The pH showed a significant positive correlation with the wind speed. The electric conductivity showed significant negative correlation with the precipitation and wind speed. (3) The pH and EC showed an increasing trend with the occurrence of sand-dust events. When the sand-dust events occurred, the concentrations of Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, SO42-, Cl- and NO3- showed increasing trend, But Na+, K+ and NO3 is relatively more sensitive to sand-dust events.
