Research status and development trend of green and environmental protection technologies on desertification land prevention in arid region of China

Land desertification is currently one of the most serious ecological problems in China. Land desertification control is the focus and difficulty of China's ecological civilization construction. It is also the problem that must be faced and resolved in the construction of beautiful China. The use of artificial vegetation and straw checkboard mechanical sand barriers in arid areas has significant effects on desertified land, but there are also certain limitations. In response to these problems, Chinese scholars developed and explored many new and rapid green and environmental protection technologies for desertification land in recent years, such as artificial biological soil crusts. This paper reviewed a series of innovative studies carried out by Chinese scholars in this field since 2000, and analyzed the research frontiers and future development trends. We expected to provide an important basis for the comprehensive and accurate understanding and evaluation of green and environmental protection desertification land management technologies.
