Abstract:

To achieve the coordinated development of regional tourism economy and ecological environment is not only an important goal of tourism development, but also the key to realize the sustainable development of tourism industry in desert tourism oriented provinces. Taking Ningxia as an example, by constructing the evaluation index system of coupling coordination between tourism economy and ecological environment in desert tourism dominated provinces, the paper introduces the scissors difference model, comprehensively uses the coupling coordination degree model, scissors difference model and ArcGIS spatial visualization expression method to analyze the process and pattern of coupling coordination between tourism economy and ecological environment in Ningxia from 2009 to 2018. The results show that the development level of tourism economy and ecological environment in Ningxia increased year by year, and the development degree of each city was significantly different. The coupling coordination degree index rose from 0.3121 in 2009 to 0.5655 in 2018, the relationship between tourism economy and ecological environment constantly improved, and tended to coordinated development, and the coupling coordination degree developed from low-level imbalance tourism economy lagging type to high-level coordination. During the study period, the spatial pattern of Ningxia tourism economy and eco-environment coupling coordination changed significantly, and the difference was significant. The overall evolution rate of scissors gap was relatively stable, and the fluctuation trend was very gentle, indicating that the evolution rate difference between the two systems basically remained stable. While the coupling degree θ fluctuated between 45° and 90°, indicating that the two systems were in the stage of coordinated development.
