Study on Bacterium Carried by Remote Sandstorm "200-04-07" with Wet-Descending in Changchun City,Jilin Province

Abstract

Abstract: The sandstorm broadly occurred in North of China from April 5 to April 7,2000 had spread to the Changchun City area.There were large amounts of bacteria intruding along with descending dust.Analysis to samples from Nanhu Park and Jiefang cross-bridge in Changchun City showed that one-milliliter sample water contains bacteria up to 89×10³ units and 105×10³ units,respectively.It was deduced that there were 6.4×10⁸ bacteria within one square meter in urban area.The bacteria species belong to various kinds,and just as well no pathogenic species.This study alarms that other than the visible environmental effect of sandstorm,the urban micro-ecosystem is very possibly under the pollution of bacteria intruding with the remote sand-dust.
