Abstract:

To investigate the spatial-temporal changes of ecosystem service value based on land use of the Yellow River Basin in Gansu Province from 1995 to 2020, this thesis choose the land-use data of the Yellow River Basin in Gansu Province in 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020, using land use dynamics, land use degree index, and land use change matrix to examine the spatial-temporal change features of land use in the research region. The ecosystem service value at six periods in the research region was computed and studied by correcting the economic value of the service value equivalent of a single ecosystem, and then the influence factors of ecosystem service value in the research region was analyzed. The findings reveal that: (1) The total area of cultivated and unused land in the research region declined from 1995 to 2020, while the total amount of forest land, grassland, water area, and building land increased. Construction land had the highest pace of change. (2) From 1995 to 2020, grassland had the highest degree of land usage in the research region. The area of conversion from other land types is the biggest for the grassland. (3) An overall increasing trend in the value of ecosystem services was observed in the study area from 1995 to 2020, with a total increase of 510.4 million RMB. (4) In terms of land use types, grassland had the highest ecosystem service value, at 25.5016 billion RMB in 2020; In terms of ecosystem service type, soil conservation had the highest value, at 8.794 billion RMB in 2020; In terms of the ecological sensitivity index, the value of ecosystem services in the study region had a sensitivity index of <1, and the research findings are reliable. The intermediate proportion was higher (82.07%) when considering ecosystem services plus categorization. (5) There is a significant negative correlation between the degree of land use in the research region and ecosystem service value, with a correlation coefficient of 0.912.
