Abstract:

The rational layout of scenic spots is the internal requirement and fundamental guarantee to realize the high-quality development of tourist industry in the Yellow River Basin. It is of great practical significance to identify the spatial pattern of scenic spots and how their influencing factors change with the scale, which is of great significance to the multi-level overall management of scenic spots in the Yellow River Basin. Based on spatial scale effect of geographical factors, a multi-scale analysis framework of spatial pattern and influencing factors of scenic spots was built in county, municipal, and agglomeration scales. The multi-scale spatial patterns of A-grade scenic spot (A-GSS) of the Yellow River Basin were revealed by statistics and GIS spatial analysis method. The Geo-detector model and spatial overlay analysis approach were used to reveals the influencing factors of different spatial patterns of A-GSSs, and the scale differences of influencing factors were identified. The Results showed that: (1) The A-GSSs mainly distributed in southern and eastern of study area, and a continuous medium-high density arc belt of A-GSSs was identified in the south of the basin. With the increase of research scale, the agglomeration scope of scenic spots gradually expanded, and the agglomeration degree gradually decreased. (2) At the county scale, the density of key national heritage conservation units had the greatest influence on the spatial pattern of A-GSSs, followed by vegetation coverage, average annual precipitation, distance to the nearest river, and density of national wetland park. Population density was the dominant factor with the largest influence degree at the municipal scale, and non-dominant factors interacted with each dominant factor to form a strong strengthening effect. The spatial pattern of A-GSSs at the agglomeration scale was mainly influenced by natural environmental factors, such as annual precipitation and vegetation coverage. (3) The influencing factors of the three scales were obviously different. The pattern of scenic spots at different scales was not the result of simple combination of dominant factors or accumulation with the increase of scale, but the product of complex interaction of natural environment, tourism resources, social economy and location.
